The entire fabrication process is done by myself from the beginning to the end . I prepare the whole wood necessary from timber found in my region south of Québec City. I use clear cedar for the ribs and planking; yellow birch, larch and black cherry for seats and crossbars; spruce for rails and ash for the stems . My canoes are covered of cotton canvas with green pvc or cotton canvas with filler and enamel of the desired color . The seat`s weaving is from caribou , moose and deer raw-hide . All the hardware is rust resistant.

The designs of all my canoes are from my conception. With thousands of kilometers of paddling , I have come to shapes that well balance the strength, weight, grace and rapidity. The rocker and the bending of the ribs can be made to the buyers request. The stem bands are made of aluminium or brass. Many options are available.
